The New Place

We are finally settled into our new place!  The area is great, the noise is minimal, and the neighbors are nice.  Of course, the grass is minimal right now considering the building we are in was just finished a few months ago, but we can put up with that for awhile.  I met our new upstairs neighbor the other day and she is very sweet and has already offered to watch Bailey if we would ever need her too!  Bailey really likes the new apartment because she has a hallway of which she can run up and down.  There are plenty of other dogs for her to meet too :)

Kristen took a day trip home this past Monday to go to  the dentist, the eye doctor, the cake decorator and the bridal shop.  I told her she has to blog about it because I do not know all the details, but from what she told me, everything is good to go with her dress!

Only a few months away!!!

Almost Here!

We are getting married in...102 DAYS! I know I know this seems like such a long time. But with everything that is happening before August 6 time is going to fly. I will graduate college in 12 days and I am so ready to be done. I have decided to take a year off from school and work full time. I love my job right now. I am working with three kids who have autism and they are amazing kids. Cameron and I will be moving to our new apartment this weekend and we are so excited to have a place to call our own. It is a brand new apartment and we will be the first ones living there so that is exciting for us too. I was also able to meet with the person who is decorating and doing my flowers for the wedding. Our wedding is going to be so fun and so beautiful I can hardly wait.We were just at my house for Easter and had a wonderful time with family. We were not able to see Cameron's family because they were in Cape May, NJ for Steve (Cameron's brother-in-law) graduation from the Coast Guard. We were both so excited for Steve and Ashley. God is doing amazing things in their life right now. We have so much going on and we are so busy but we are loving every minute of the busyness and can not wait to begin our lives together!!! 102 DAYS!!

A Brief Interlude

For all of 2010 I worked as a Director of Audio Visual at a hotel in Worthington, OH.  That position dried up so I decided to see what else was available.  I am currently taking classes at ITT to pickup a degree in Information Systems Administration so I though getting a job as a Geek Squad Agent would be a great resume booster.  I found a Best Buy that was hiring and was offered a position.  However, it was only part time, meaning I would not have benefits.  I prayed about it and talked with Kristen and decided to take the chance.

Well, in short, that chance did not work out as I had hoped.  I was not getting the hours I needed nor the benefits I desired and I had no idea how long it might take for those things to come to fruition.  So after a short run (about a month) at Best Buy,  I am now back with my old company as an Audio Visual Technician at The Ohio State Medical Center!  I have benefits and plenty of hours!  Both Kristen and I are excited about this even though the route to getting this position was somewhat unconventional and eclectic.  But hey, it never hurts to look around right?  I thank God and Kristen for helping me through all that craziness.

P.S. We are furiously working on invitations for the wedding!

Details, Details, Details!

The date draws near which means so do deadlines!  We had a lot finished ahead of time because Kristen and I like to stay on top of the game, but now we have been digging in once again.  I have been busy getting arrangements ready for the honeymoon (Woot Jamaica!) and am happy to say everything is booked including the room, plane tickets, and a special dinner for two.  We have been working on invitations which I have really enjoyed actually.  Lots of cutting and counting; luckily we took measurements a few months ago so now we can just get all the parts ready so the final product is easily assembled.

A few weeks ago we went home to Kristen's and her father and I were able to stop at a couple hotels.  I wanted to see what they looked like and had to offer if I was going to book a block of rooms.  I had a good time hanging out with Bill while Kristen attended a wedding show with her mom.  I ended making a decision and just confirmed the booking on Friday.  Yes things are coming together but there is still plenty to get done!

A New Year's Changes

Happy New Year! So much has happened in the last year and it is amazing how much things are going to change in such a short time. With our wedding coming up, graduating college, applying for graduate school, and Cameron going back to school ; 2011 is going to be a year of change. I am not scared but I am excited to see what God has in store for Cameron and I. We have no idea where we will be in the year 2011. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart; lean not on your own understanding" -Proverbs 3:5 has been my favorite bible verse for the longest time. Throughout this year I am really going to be relying on God to guide Cameron and I as we walk through this crazy adventure of change.
